A ship that was being used for smuggling lottery tickets containing around 16,000 tickets was intercepted by Hong Kong customs officials in waters west of the city on Wednesday. The vessel was believed to be headed for China and Macau. The customs department said the smuggled ticket were worth at least HKD10 each, based on their face value.
